Amazon is looking for a dynamic, innovative and customer obsessed Technical Program Manager to join the Amazon's India Transportation Tech Team and lead the TPM function to deliver solutions across all miles (First, Middle, Last) and new businesses like Ship With Amazon (SWA) and Amazon Freight (AF).

As a TPM, you would drive strategic planning for technology investment for RoW Operations. You would work across range of stakeholders from transportation operations and businesses to ensure all key asks are captured and prioritized to form yearly roadmap. You will also work with range of technical teams across geographies to build products / capabilities to drive efficiencies for Amazon logistics and fuel the growth of Amazon Emerging Stores.

You will tackle challenging, novel situations every day. You would need to innovate and simplify architecture in way which allows marketplace to drive its own destiny. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g. computer science, engineering), 15+ years of relevant work experience in software development, 8+ years of work experience in technical leadership, program management, or similar roles.

Excellent program management, problem solving and communication skills; experience in interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Strong software development background with experience in software development cycle, and in managing and delivering large cross-functional programs.

Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on programs.

Ability to think both strategically and tactically and to drive execution. Should be equally comfortable with long term planning and day to day progress tracking and execution.

Proven track record of taking ownership and of delivering results in a fast paced environment, including history of successfully delivering large scale projects end to end, through the entire life-cycle.

Preferred Qualification

MBA or Advanced degree in Computer Science or Engineering

Experience with large scale distributed systems and service oriented architecture.

Experience with Amazon Web Services

Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

Influencing WW tech platforms in Transportation, build high level solutions which are cross-cutting across multiple platforms, demonstrate thought leadership by identifying opportunities and proposing ideas to support business growth, OP and quarterly planning, bandwidth planning and prioritization for the org.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

3+ years of technical product or program management experience

3+ years of software development experience

3+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
