As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and optimizing Python and Java-based APIs that are essential for core product functionality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, data science, and behavioral health specialists to build scalable and secure solutions. This role offers a great opportunity to make a significant impact on the product and its users while maintaining high standards of software development, security, and quality.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Python and Java-based APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, data science, behavioral health specialists) to enhance core product functionality
• Ensure adherence to best practices, quality standards, and security protocols during all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Continuously improve and optimize backend systems to meet the needs of the business and customers
• Provide support and guidance to team members while driving technical excellence in the backend architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise or consumer web applications, preferably with Python or Java/Spring
• Experience building and deploying multi-tenant web applications
• Expertise in building scalable REST APIs
• Must have a proactive, self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong understanding of best practices in software development, including version control, testing, and CI/CD pipelines
