Senior Protocol Engineer (Rollups)

Career Renew is recruiting for one of its clients a Senior Protocol Engineer (Rollups) - candidates need to be based in N or S America.

We're looking for an incredible software engineer to help us build the future of blockchain scalability. You will work on the systems that deploy and upgrade our core supported rollup frameworks - Arbitrum, OP Stack, and ZKsyncas well as make them work with emerging technologies from shared sequencers to alternative DA layers.

As a Senior Protocol Engineer you will:

• Help architect the blockchain nodes that comprises the backbone of our software offering. You'll be working on the cutting edge of blockchain scaling, building new kinds of L2s.
• Develop improvements to rollup stacks like OP, zksync, and Arbitrum Orbit, making them higher throughput and more reliable.
• Create systems that ensure zero-downtime network upgrades of high TPS chains caldera has in production, which secure hundreds of millions of dollars in value.
• Write efficient and secure EVM smart contracts in solidity
• Drive the technical direction, establish roadmaps, communicate and collaborate with internal and external partners to help us win.

Requirements

Have 4+ years of engineering experience, including at least 1 year of experience working with EVM-related protocols (dApps, Rollups, Solvers, etc).

Expertise in Go or Rust, with demonstrable low-level systems work.

Direct experience with EVM-compatible protocols, particularly L1/L2 node operation.

Understanding of onchain smart contracts, and interacting with blockchains.
