Payments owns and maintains the software platform which processes 20+ payment methods worldwide.

About the role:

Working in a dynamic environment, you will be responsible to identifying patterns of risky transactions that are completed on our platform, collating insights from risky behaviors, arriving at the root cause of the gap and partnering with analytics, product and program stakeholders to implement the solutions.

The candidate needs to innovate, and quickly become a subject matter expert in defining risky elements for Amazon Pay categories. The candidate should have significant experience working with data automation tools, analyzing data, identifying trends, extracting conclusions, and presenting findings in a simple and clear manner using data across various data marts, and align focus on Amazon's strategic needs.

Key job responsibilities

The key responsibilities for these roles include:

Drive sub-programs for Fraud and Abuse programs independently across Amazon Pay stakeholders to achieve co-owned goals.

Work on gathering partner requirements, setup mechanism for tracking and publishing metrics/insights across cross leaders and functional teams.

Ensure high quality decision making by defining, implementing and improving standard operating procedures used in Fraud and Abuse prevention programs.

Publishing performance, articulating root-cause analysis and surfacing key hotspots to product managers, business analytics team to drive data driven actions

Work closely with business analytics teams, investigators and partners to identify risky MOs across fraud and Abuse domains.

About the team

Customer Trust team owns the definition, treatment, loss metrics and product charter for Fraud and Abuse in Amazon Pay.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM or other technical fields preferred

2+ years of experience in risk investigation with active experience in usage of internal investigative tools/resources.

Proficiency in MS Excel and SQL is a must.

Ability to function in an ambiguous, fast paced work environment.

Proven analytical and quantitative skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with technical tools such as SQL.

Experience data analysis, and quantitatively communicating insights to key stakeholders and management.

Experience in managing a small program/ track with limited oversight.
