Sr Principal System Administrator in infrastructure Workplace Services, collaborate with a team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

What You Will Do:

Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows environment

Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.

Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS)

Working with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned

Develop solutions and documentation to a variety of technical problems

Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date

Full time 100% Onsite position

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master?s degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience

Must have an active a transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance prior to start date and must have ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) Access

Must have Linux systems administration experience to include Ansible

Must have Containerization experience such as Kubernetes

Experience with VMWare vCenter, vSphere, VDI, and ESXi deployment and administration

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform

VMware deployment and administration experience highly desired

DevSecOps experience with pipeline development desired

Basic Windows experience desired

Administrative scripting with Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.

Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) and an Operating System Certification

+ Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF

Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions

Relocation Eligibility

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate?s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
