H2 Performance Consulting (H2) is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer.

The Senior Network Engineer responsibilities will include:

Advise on enterprise network design and secure transport in hybrid, multi-vendor environments.

Provide technical and leadership-facing input on routing strategies, interconnects, and cloud gateway architectures.

Support implementation of Zero Trust Architecture, with emphasis on micro segmentation and isolation enforcement at the transport layer.

Participate in executive briefings while engaging engineers from operational and sustainment organizations on practical solutioning.

Contribute expertise across core network engineering domains, including SDN, IP/MPLS transport, hybrid cloud connectivity, and virtualized network infrastructure.

Support Agile Release Trains (ARTs) with architectural reviews, technical assessments, and modernization planning.

Required Qualifications:

Active Secret clearance

Must meet DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II requirements (e.g., Security+ or equivalent)

Proven Subject Matter Expertise in modern network and transport engineering, with experience in one or more of the following: Software-Defined Networking (SDN), IP routing, MPLS, WAN design, network segmentation, or hybrid cloud connectivity

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and ability to support ARTs in an advisory capacity

Applied understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM), including change, configuration, and incident management processes

Strong communication skills with ability to brief executives and collaborate with engineers across mission areas (Operations, Sustainment, Architecture)

Able to travel approximately 10% annually.

Desired Qualifications:

Experience supporting IT modernization efforts in a DoD or federal context

Familiarity with legacy decommissioning and technical feasibility reviews for cloud migration

Working knowledge of Zero Trust principles and network security enforcement mechanisms
