Job Summary:

Panelmatic is seeking a detail-oriented candidate experienced Senior Electrical EngineerCADMetal Building Software designer. The drafterSr. MBS Designer is a professional who uses MBS CADsoftware to create, edit, and modify detailed 2D and2D and 3D drawings and designs for electrical equipmentmetal building systems components and assemblies per client specs. who will design and implement complex Utility grade, industrial, commercial, and domestic electrical power systems.

Job Duties:

Create initial drawing packages for the estimating department at the proposal phase

Design, maintain, implement, and improve electrical instruments, components, equipment.

Leads the engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects and is responsible for coordinating the individual Engineering Disciplines such that the most cost-effective total project solution for executing engineering work is achieved.

Ensures that the engineering work on the project is completed on schedule, meets quality standards including review meetings and checking procedures, performance is within the baseline man hour and material budgets, required deliverables are produced and , change management is executed in a timely manner

Reviews the status of the schedule and progress performance with the Clients on a regular basis, and keeps the General Managers apprised of issues

Ensures the quality of the engineering execution and deliverables

Participates in people development through mentoring, development of training material, and conducting or training seminars

Develops and builds client relations

Develop electrical documents for scope of work definition, specification, data sheets, equipment selection, drawing review, schematic development, wiring diagrams, physical layout drawings and project close out procedures for low to medium voltage industrial power distribution systems.

Prepared purchase requisitions for various electrical equipment.

Leads inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for various relay panels, Power Distribution Centers, and remote instrumentation enclosure Buildings.

Exhibit thorough understanding of pertinent codes and governing regulations, and industry practices.

Review estimates to confirm the technical offerings of the product

Create engineering drawings and shop packages using Metal Building Software (MBS) for pre-engineered metal buildings electricalper client specs.

Maintain company's CADstandards and templates for Metal Building Software (MBS)

Learn and implement electrical equipmentbuilding structures and client-specific equipment needs and their usage

Learn and implement building design from client-specific standards and NEC if applicablePanelmatic methods

Learn wire sizing and design from client-specific standards and NEC

Read and analyze existing blueprints, construction drawings, and plans

Routinely produce accurate drawings promptly and efficiently

Ability to complete CAD drawings independently in a timely manner

Learn construction and design methods and best practices

Evaluate the design for constructability and ease of manufacturing

Estimates material usage and additionally creates a bill of materials for procurement.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Two-years of experience in 2- or 4-yearar Drafting, Design, Manufacturing, or Engineering required.BS in electrical engineering or other relevant degree requiredBS BA or higher in Electrical Engineering required

Two plus years of experience drafting electrical equipmentstructural components in a manufacturing environment required

Proficient in MS Office Suite required

Two years of experience in Metal Building Software (MBS) required

Abletoread one linesread and interpret Blueprints and schematicsLayouts requiredXYZ

Ability to work autonomously without direct supervision required

Ten Five or more years of experience in electrical design and engineering required

Five or more years of experience in managing project managers and junior engineers required

Five or more years in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and Substation Design Suite (SDS) is preferred required

Five or more years in product knowledge of key electrical components of a Protection & Control Panel (SEL, Electroswitch, test switches, etc.) required

Analytical abilities and problem-solving skills required

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required

Growth mindset with the ability to accept challenges required

Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required

Ability to physically push, pull, and lift 25 lbs or more required

Ability to sit, stand, and walk for four-plus hours at a time required

Alignment with company core values required

Preferred Qualifications:

Drafting or Design, Manufacturing, Engineering, or similar degree preferred
