Senior Mechanical Engineer

They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to take part in the design, analysis, and manufacturing of their vehicles and subsystems. You will have 5+ years of mechanical design and drafting experience ideally in the space industry.

Requirements

Core responsibilities

• Create metallic frameworks and propulsion fluid networks with expedited schedules.
• Examine engineering data and specs to formulate mechanical systems.
• Revise designs and drawings via engineering change orders to align with swift design evolution.
• Develop intricate component and assembly drawings, considering GD&T and tolerance stack-ups.

Required

• B.S. in a Mechanical Engineering
• 5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Experience with Solidworks
• Experience with GD&T and tolerance stack-ups
• Experience with spacecraft design

Ideal candidate

• Experience with welded structures and fluid systems
• Ability to manage large assembly models and drawings
• Hands-on experience designing hardware in a highly constrained system under defined timelines
