Overview
Position oversees the organization responsible for developing and managing company maps and records including overseeing records collection, documentation, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and validation processes and systems. Position is responsible for overseeing administration of business and intelligence systems and development and execution of data analytics and reporting strategies and procedures which support and align with Electric Distribution Operations' (EDO) strategic goals and objectives. Position also works with appropriate business representatives to develop prudent, business metrics, support technology improvements and work to provide data supported action plans that enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency. Departments supported include Electric Distribution Operations (EDO ? KY & RI), Gas Operations, Transmission, Generation, and Telecommunications.

Responsibilities
+ GIS systems ? Responsible for overseeing the geographic information system(s) containing geo-spatial data for generation, transmission, telecommunications, gas, and electric distribution (KY & RI) assets. Includes:
- Development of GIS systems capabilities and functionality required to support the business objectives.
- Coordinates efforts to identify and implement GIS applications that enhance operations and maintenance activities.
- Ensuring quality, timeliness, and integrity of data retained in GIS systems.
- Development of practices and procedures for collection and input of data into GIS system.
- Ensuring appropriate procedures are in place for backup of asset data residing in GIS system.
- Ensure that the GIS system remains current on patches and new releases.
+ Asset Repository ? Responsible for the central asset data repository containing information related to installation, condition, or performance of assets. Includes:
- Ensuring consistent standards and practices are used for collection of data input into the asset repository.
- Maintains control of access to central asset data repository.
- Ensuring quality, timeliness, and integrity of data retained in data repository.
- Ensuring that data is accessible to appropriate personnel across the enterprise.
- Ensuring appropriate procedures are in place to back up asset data residing in the asset repository.
- Develops recommendations on methods to improve collection of asset data and the integrity of data collected.
+ Document Control ? Responsible for managing documents related to the GIS. Responsibilities include:
- Establishing standards and practices for tracking documents that contain information on GIS related assets.?
- Responsible for implementing and overseeing IT solutions used to track and store documents containing asset information such as engineering construction drawings, as-built drawings, historical records, etc.
- Responsible for overseeing the document imaging systems used to retain asset data.
- Responsible for compiling and ensuring the integrity of data required for filing of federal, state, DOT, and PSC regulatory reports.System Administration (Gas & Electric EDO) ? Responsible for managing the administration, implementation, and direction of Gas Distribution Operations (GDO) and Electric
- Distribution Operations (EDO) IT systems support. Oversee the maintenance, upgrades, research, evaluation training and communication, as required for computer software applications and information technology systems supporting GDO and EDO goals and objectives.
- Business Intelligence, Reporting and Analysis ? Responsible for managing administration of business intelligence, development and execution of data analytics, enhance reporting strategies and maintain KPI reporting which support and align with Electric Distribution Operations' (EDO) strategic goals and objectives.
- Responsible for managing adhoc data, asset information, and map requests.
- Responsible for ensuring that training and developmental opportunities are available for all employees in the department.
- Ensure succession plans and goals have been considered in creating development plans, promotion and reassignment proposals, and new hire decisions.
- Manage Storm Roles for Asset Information personnel.
- Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science
Required Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Asset Information and Data Analytics in multiple areas of utility operations and systems.
- Must have a good understanding of data requirements needed for effective asset management.
- Must have an in-depth knowledge of Asset Information systems software and hardware applications.
- Must have good planning and organizing skills, good team building skills, and very good written and oral communication skills.
- Must have an excellent background in computer applications used in data maintenance, storage, and analytics as well as corporate information systems.
- Must be proficient in the use of standard computer application software and hardware.
- Must be achievement oriented, seeking out productive and innovative changes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with application implementation and troubleshooting.
- Should be knowledgeable of LG&E/KU core business systems such as GIS, ARM, NMS, etc.
- Also, should be knowledgeable of generation, transmission, telecommunications, gas, and electric distribution facilities; and Land-base used in Geospatial Information Systems.
- Should have experience in project management techniques and practices, business processes and systems to support Gas and Electric Distribution Operations.
