Senior Functional Veracode Tester

ProArch is looking for a skilled Sr. Functional Veracode Tester to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and functionality of our applications through rigorous testing practices and analysis using Veracode. You will work closely with development teams to identify vulnerabilities, recommend solutions, and help integrate security into the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional testing of applications using Veracode and other security testing tools.
• Review application code and configurations to identify security vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities and enhance application security.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Create comprehensive reports detailing testing results and security assessments.
• Provide guidance and training to development teams on secure coding practices.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, vulnerabilities, and security testing techniques.
• Participate in security architecture reviews and provide feedback on application designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 6 - 12 years of experience in functional testing, with a focus on application security testing.
• Strong knowledge of the Veracode platform and security scanning processes.
• Proficiency in common programming languages such as Java, C#, or JavaScript.
• Experience with secure coding practices, OWASP Top Ten, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Certifications such as Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus.
