Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to oversee and manage the environmental, health, and safety programs at our client's manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment, compliance with regulations, and fostering a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety laws.

Develop, recommend, and implement safety policies and procedures.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and state safety regulations.

Create and maintain safety training materials, presentations, and safety data sheets.

Participate in safety audits, investigations, and inspections.

Manage specific safety objectives for each department.

Stay current on industry trends and innovations.

Represent health and safety interests with employees and provide necessary training.

Assist in emergency management procedures.

Maintain compliance with environmental requirements, including hazardous waste and storm water management.

Lead industrial hygiene monitoring in manufacturing areas.

Assist in maintaining plant security plans.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience.

Experience in working in a facility with 500+ employees.

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Excellent attendance, work record, and customer service skills.

Strong work ethic, integrity, adaptability, and flexibility.

Basic understanding of ergonomic principles.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience in a health and safety role in manufacturing.

Certification in a specialized EHS field (e.g., Industrial Hygiene, Ergonomics, Environmental Engineering).
