About UPS Track Alert

The UPS Track Alert API aims to enhance the tracking experience for high-volume customers and third parties, while reducing the overall load on the Track API, and monetizing our tracking services. The goal of Track Alert API is to reduce unnecessary burden on our system, while giving our customers? ability to receive status updates on the small packages quickly and accurately. Track Alert API benefits are to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, data-driven decision making, optimizing cash flow through near real-time delivery tracking, and mitigating fraud and theft through near real-time package status monitoring.

About the Role:

The Intermediate Applications Developer participates in full systems life cycle management activities (e.g., analyses, technical requirements, design, coding, testing, implementation of applications software, etc.) for business critical UPS.com Track Visibility applications. Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. He/She collaborates with teams and supports emerging technologies and must have strong verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate should have experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable web applications while adhering to the SAFe Agile methodology using Azure DevOps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot based Restful Web Services.
• Design and implement microservices -based solutions for high scalability and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain OCP4 and GCP hosted solutions, ensuring high availability and security.
• Participate in SAFe Agile ceremonies including PI planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipeline setup, version control, and automated deployments.
• Perform code reviews, ensure coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across frontend and backend systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in client and server-side web service development.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native application design, especially on GCP.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to lead technical discussions.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Code Quality Inspection Tools, Dependency Management Systems and Software Vulnerability Detection and Remediation
