The Senior Cost Accountant will serve as finance business partner for site manufacturing and operations team. This role willuse data driven analytics to help the operational team drive cost and operational productivity for HTS Cryo. The position is located in our New Iberia, LA facility.

The ideal candidate will need to be results driven, forward-thinking, and be an effective problem-solver and communicator.

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be?

Support an offsite Sr Controller throughout the manufacturing and site operationsat New Iberia

Support monthly and year-end closing including balance sheet reconciliations and year-end audits.

Manage and maintain Project cost subledgers and monitor cost variances on jobs.

Work with project managers on equipment/service sales order contracts to assess manufacturing variances on jobs and support risk mitigation

Partner with the Production Control Manager to understand labor variances

Prepare and distribute monthly cost center reports to management

Develop improvements to consumable tracking

Maintain accuracy of fixed asset listing

Support plant operations team with analysis for AFE and Capital Investments

Keeps up to-date on corporate policy and any changes in JDE system.

Follow Sarbanes-Oxley Act procedures

Performs other related duties, as assigned

Your Education Should Be?

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.

Your Professional Experience Should Be?

Four or more years' experience in cost accounting in manufacturing related field

Experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards a plus, but not a must)

Knowledge of general ledger account structure

Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley Act

Strong general ledger account reconciliation skills

Exceptional working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Strong skills in accounting and computer data entry

Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness looking for ways to improve the process

Maintain confidentiality

Ability to work well with all aspects of an organization
