Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to lead automation projects for a dynamic industrial automation firm. This role requires expertise in?PLC, HMI, SCADA, and DCS/DeltaV systems,?along with project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and commission control systems while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring project profitability. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement control system architectures (PLC, DCS, HMI/SCADA).
  • Develop schematics, panels, and network designs (under 480VAC).
  • Lead project execution, including budgeting, scheduling, and profitability.
  • Commission systems on-site and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage client relationships and identify new business opportunities.
Requirements
  • Education:?Bachelor's in Electrical/Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field)
  • Licensure:?PMP certification a plus
  • Experience:
    • 8+ years in?industrial automation?(PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS/DeltaV).
    • 2-3 years minimum with?Emerson DeltaV platform.
    • Experience in?PLC-5 to ControlLogix conversions.
    • Project management for'systems up to $10M.
  • Technical Skills:
    • PLC platforms:?Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Modicon
    • HMI/SCADA:?Ignition, FactoryTalk, Aveva, GE iFIX
    • Programming:?Ladder Logic, Structured Text, VBA, SQL, Python
    • Industrial networking:?Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus
  • Soft Skills:?Leadership, problem-solving, client relations, and team mentorship
