Senior Civil Designer

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Civil Designer or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) for a top Infrastructure Engineering client. This role is based in Mesa, AZ, and requires a driven professional passionate about hands-on design for complex civil projects, including roadway alignments, utility systems, and civil site design. • Design and develop core civil engineering projects, including roadway alignments, water, sewer, and drainage systems.
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to support smart and sustainable design decisions.
• Prepare comprehensive engineering plans, specifications, and detailed cost estimates with precision.
• Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Ensure all designs strictly adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and project standards.
• Support and mentor junior engineers and design staff, sharing technical expertise and best practices.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to execute accurate and efficient design and drafting work.
• Perform stormwater management technical writing, calculations, and reports to support project documentation (especially for EIT candidates).

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is typically required (implied by EIT designation).
  Experience
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in civil or site development projects is required (four (4) years preferred).
  • Experience with diverse, high-impact infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
  Certifications/Licenses
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is preferred, but not strictly required.
  Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
