Senior Backend Engineer

XperiencOps Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Python backend engineer specializing in distributed systems and real-time data processing architectures. You possess advanced skills in creating and implementing serverless architectures capable of effectively managing data pipelines with complex processing needs, all while maintaining strong resilience and throughput.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud-based serverless frameworks and possess the ability to create scalable systems that maintain performance and reliability under varying loads. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze complex data sets, design and develop integrations and data processing, and build scalable solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement data platform and pipelines that leverage cloud infrastructure to solve complex business problems.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns.
• Optimize and maintain data model and databases, focusing on performance and data retrieval efficiency.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in data normalization, enrichment, and augmentation, and incorporate these innovations into our products and solutions.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of data platform through rigorous testing and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
• Promote and champion a robust engineering culture that emphasizes quality, innovation, and accountability. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior backend engineers.
• Document and communicate research findings, methodologies, and results to internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• 7+ years of backend engineer experience using Python and Typescript.
• 5+ years of experience in design data platform and developing data pipelines using Python and AWS or equivalent cloud services.
• 5+ years of experience with event-driven architecture, including the use of queues, streams, and publish-subscribe model.
• Proficient in big data processing frameworks like Hadoop and Spark, capable of handling both structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Solid grasp of data structures, algorithms, and data analysis methods.
• Passionate about building data products, ability to learn new domains and business models.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work on complex problems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with the dynamics of early-stage startups.
• Skilled at adapting to shifting priorities and effectively planning projects in dynamic environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
