Senior Azure+AWS Network Engineer

As a Senior Azure+AWS Network Engineer at Pierce Technology Corp, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing complex network solutions across cloud environments. Your expertise in Azure and AWS networking will guide architectural decisions, ensuring robust and secure connectivity for our cloud-based applications.

You will lead the migration of existing on-premises networking solutions to cloud environments while optimizing performance and security within the public cloud infrastructure. Duties include overseeing network configurations, conducting performance assessments, and diagnosing issues to provide immediate resolutions.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and secure network architectures that meet business requirements while maintaining high levels of security, resilience, and compliance.

Requirements

Extensive experience with Azure and AWS networking services, including VPC, VNet, VPN, Direct Connect, Express Route, and associated security controls.

Strong understanding of cloud network design principles, and in-depth knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).

Experience with network monitoring and management tools in cloud environments.

Proficiency in implementing security best practices within cloud architecture, including identity management and network segmentation.

Ability to automate network management tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).

Knowledge of hybrid cloud connectivity and architecture.

Relevant cloud certifications (Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking - Specialty) are highly desirable.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with technical and non-technical teams.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in network engineering, focusing on cloud environments.
