Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to provide support to the finance department by assisting with various daily accounting tasks. You will be part of a team of professionals working to maintain order and transparency for the company's finances.

The ideal candidate will have previous accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills.

Position Responsibilities:

• Receive inventory and complete cost accounting journal entries
• Complete monthly inventory reconciliations, including adjusting journal entries
• Assist with royalty processing
• Understand the accounts receivable process and help to resolve invoice issues
• Complete deposits
• Enter credit and return memos
• Update the Amazon daily sales spreadsheet daily
• Enter accounts payable invoices
• Update weekly open AP spreadsheet
• Process weekly checks, ACH and wire payments
• Manage customer and vendor account updates
• Maintain W-9 files and process yearly 1099s
• Create complicated spreadsheets with pivot tables
• Manage entering data into various accounting systems
• Complete account reconciliations
• Complete monthly and yearly accounting processes
• Assist with other projects as assigned

Requirements

• Proven accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Great attention to detail
• Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
• BS/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
• Publishing industry or royalty business experience a plus
• Previous Microsoft Dynamics skills a plus
