SDET Engineer

Talent Worx is an innovative recruitment consulting agency, currently seeking a talented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Engineer to join our client, a leading precision medicine firm dedicated to combating cancer through advanced diagnostic technology. With over a decade of experience in the industry, this company is at the forefront of transforming patient care by integrating genomic data with actionable insights.

As an SDET, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products by designing and implementing testing frameworks and automated tests. You will work closely with development teams to select testing strategies, write test scripts, and drive software quality initiatives that align with our mission to provide innovative solutions in oncology diagnostics.

You will be responsible for enhancing test coverage, improving testing processes, and facilitating the deployment of high-quality software to meet the needs of clinicians, patients, and researchers. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will contribute to the creation and refinement of testing methodologies that ensure our software products operate flawlessly within a complex environment.

• Design and develop automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional requirements
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions, providing input on software quality
• Advocate for and implement best practices in testing and QA processes
• Identify, log, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring clear documentation
• Collaborate with developers to address issues found in testing
• Contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in the QA landscape

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance as SDET or similar role
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or similar)
• Extensive experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit)
• Hands-on experience with APIs testing and tools like Postman or SoapUI
• Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing methodologies
• Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and processes
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies and development practices
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field or equivalent experience
