XMSTART is looking to add an experience and full-time Satellite Space Vehicle Engineer to our team in Chantilly, VA . This position is 100% onsite.
The ? Satellite Space Vehicle Engineer ? will support a very dynamic and innovative space program. In this position, you will gain experience with acquiring and deploying the next-generation of space assets including first of a kind satellite constellations with ground-breaking technology.This position will support space vehicle engineering, assembly, integration, and test activities for all of the government program office's major satellite programs.This rewarding and mission focused position will enable you to have a positive impact on our nation's capabilities, while working with an incredibly strong team that is focused on mission success.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Support a Government program office in a space vehicle engineering capacity for planning, execution, monitoring, and oversight of systems acquisitions.
- Assisting the Government in monitoring Assembly, Integration, and Test (AI&T) of multiple satellites at contractor facilities.
- Provide support to Government customer by evaluating space vehicle designs, overseeing space vehicle development efforts, and assessing space vehicle requirements compliance through verification activities.
- Develop documents and briefings to communicate work or study status, briefs Government and industry as required.
- Review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables to ensure content, accuracy, and sufficiency to meet program
- requirements and objectives.
- Participate in program reviews and technical interchange meetings between developers and COTR.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Experience with how NRO or space satellite systems are acquired.
- The job requires familiarity with NRO organization, processes, and satellite systems.
- Experience with how space systems are designed, specified, developed, manufactured, and tested.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, team building and problem solving skills with a demonstrated ability to be effective in a government/contractor team environment.
Education:
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering or Business and relevant space vehicle or satellite AI&T experience.
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph required.
