Job Purpose:

A client based in Washington, DC is looking for a seasoned SAP Data Archiving Specialist to take charge of planning and executing data archiving initiatives within their SAP environment. This role will involve close interaction with business stakeholders, IT analysts, and Tier 2 support teams to ensure successful implementation, post-launch support, and system-wide data consistency. The right candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, in-depth SAP expertise, and a proven track record of uniting cross-functional teams around effective data governance strategies.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy SAP data archiving strategies that align with both business objectives and technical requirements.
• Partner with business process owners and IT counterparts to define requirements and analyze archiving objects.
• Deliver hands-on support and training to Tier 2 functional and technical support staff following go-live.
• Address and resolve advanced data archiving issues with minimal impact on business operations.
• Lead discussions and build consensus across departments regarding data lifecycle and management policies.
• Guarantee the successful integration of archiving solutions across SAP modules and various business functions.
• Monitor data growth and implement measures to control data volume for optimal system performance.
• Create and maintain documentation outlining archiving processes, policies, and best practices.
• Assist in internal and external audits or compliance efforts involving archived data.
• Review and refine archiving activities on an ongoing basis to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
