Position: Sales and Use Tax Consultant

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Sales and Use Tax Consultant

to support our client in managing their high-volume domestic Sales and Use Tax compliance needs. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in processing returns, following up on notices, posting journal entries, and conducting necessary research. The role requires strong expertise in

Vertex tax software

and

Excel

for efficient and accurate tax processing.

Key Responsibilities:

Process a high volume of domestic

Sales and Use Tax returns

accurately and on time.

Follow up on notices

from tax authorities and ensure timely resolution.

Post

journal entries

related to tax compliance in accordance with company policies.

Perform

research

on Sales and Use Tax regulations when necessary to ensure compliance.

Collaborate with internal teams and provide expert tax advice as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven experience in

processing high-volume Sales and Use Tax returns .

Proficiency in

Vertex tax software

is a must.

Advanced

Excel skills , including data analysis and report generation.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a consulting environment is a plus.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
