Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Retina Surgeon (Ophthalmologist) to join our esteemed medical team. In this role, you will specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of retinal disorders, performing advanced surgical procedures to address complex issues affecting patients' vision. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retinal surgery and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and diagnostic assessments to identify retinal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and retinal detachments.
- Perform complex surgical procedures, including vitrectomy, retinal repair, and laser treatments.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with retinal conditions, considering both surgical and non-surgical options.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, monitoring patient recovery and outcomes.
- Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and the importance of follow-up care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive management of eye health.
- Participate in clinical research and stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in retinal care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Master degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of a residency program in Ophthalmology.
- Fellowship training in Retina Surgery.
- Board certification in Ophthalmology.
- A valid and unrestricted medical license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience specializing in retinal surgery.
- Proficiency in advanced retinal surgical techniques and procedures.
- Strong diagnostic acumen and ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
