Job Description
Control Risks is seeking to recruit a highly motivated researcher to support the successful development of the Compliance, Forensics and Intelligence department in South Asia. The primary role of a researcher is to provide specialist desktop research and analysis of public record information in South Asia, mostly in support of pre-investment due diligence and business intelligence assignments.
A researcher should be able to evaluate information and summarise the results of their research into clear, informative and accurately written reports for the use of both internal and external clients.
Role tasks & responsibilities
- Carry out public record research in English and another South Asian language, such as: Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati, Malayalam or Nepali.
- Conduct database research using complex search criteria.
- Analyse results within the context of an investigative project and suggest additional avenues of research.
- Write clear, analytical and detailed reports for both internal and external clients.
- Manage basic projects, deadlines or budgets for research phases of larger investigations.
- Support consultants in more complex or multi-jurisdictional tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of one undergraduate degree.
- English (fluent) and ability to read at least one other major South Asian language.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to understand, summarise and communicate large amounts of information in a concise manner.
