Job Description


Job Purpose The Hoist and Automation Repair Technician repairs equipment including but not limited to: Manual and Electric chain hoists, Kinesys automation systems, and lifting and rigging equipment. Responsibilities</strong> 1. Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists. 2. Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases. 3. Maintain the work area.

1. Repairs equipment by:
  • Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in electric chain hoists and automation products including ancillary equipment such as power distribution and machinery control systems.
  • Carry out limited electronic repairs to the circuit board level.
  • Modification and upgrade of Christie Lites Official Rental Product Line equipment to Christie Lites standards as specified in the provided technical notes.
  • Ordering parts required for repair.
  • Inspection and Certification of lifting equipment based on regional standards and directives at designated intervals as laid out in company standards documents
  • Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage at the end of the shift.
  • Keep an updated inventory of parts and tools in the dept.
2. Update Software Systems by:
  • Recording of all repairs in the Nexus Service software module.
  • Upload all passed Certification documents to NEXUS or SharePoint.
