Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse will provides one-on-one pediatric healthcare nursing services to medically fragile students during school hours, including travel time via school bus if necessary. Deliver direct care based on physician's orders and individualized healthcare plans, ensuring student safety and well-being.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Licensure: Active RN license in Georgia; Current CPR/AED certification.
    • Experience: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience; pediatric/school nursing preferred.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Tracheotomy care, oxygen administration, medication administration.
      • Training in FERPA, mandated child abuse reporting, and infection control.
    • Soft Skills: Strong communication, collaboration with educators, and meticulous documentation.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer medications and perform prescribed medical procedures.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and document students' medical status.
    • Collaborate with teachers/staff to share health-related updates.
    • Maintain strict confidentiality (FERPA/HIPAA compliance).
    • Attend annual District Health Services orientation.
