Rebuild Shop Mechanic

• Primary responsibilities include troubleshooting/repairing underground coal mining equipment
• Perform full service on all equipment, diesel or electric
• Proper troubleshooting techniques on diesel and electric equipment
• Visually inspect and secure work area for hazards or potential hazards
• Ensure equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner
• Self-motivated and confident to work individually, but also the ability to work well with others as a team
• Determine the type and extent of repair work needed on various types of mining equipment
• Interpret blueprints, and schematics
• Perform work area housekeeping duties
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
• Other duties as necessary

Requirements

• Experience with both diesel and electrical underground coal mining equipment
• 2 + years experience, preferred

Benefits

In-experienced Mechanics are processed through a contracting service starting at $20.00 per hour. You may contact Jennmar Services if you don't meet the minimum 2-years experience.

Compensation at an attractive hourly rate of $23.82

In addition, there's potential to earn bonus based on safety, production metrics, and attendance.
