Overall Responsibility:

The RCM AR (Accounts Receivable) Manager will oversee the accounts receivable operations of the revenue cycle management team. This position requires expertise in managing outstanding accounts, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and improving cash flow. The RCM AR Manager will collaborate effectively with various teams to resolve discrepancies and drive best practices in the management of unpaid claims.

Education/Experience/Skills:

• High School Diploma and/or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounts receivable management, specifically in healthcare or urgent care settings.
• Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, insurance claims, and EOBs (Explanations of Benefits).
• Previous experience managing a team is highly desirable.
• Proficient in revenue cycle management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements

• Manage and supervise the accounts receivable team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance and productivity.
• Monitor and analyze accounts receivable metrics, working to decrease the days in accounts receivable.
• Oversee the resolution of outstanding claims, ensuring discrepancies are addressed efficiently.
• Implement processes to optimize collections and improve cash flow.
• Coordinate with billing and coding teams to ensure accurate claim submission and timely follow-up on unpaid claims.
• Conduct regular training and performance evaluations for team members.
• Review and analyze aging reports to identify trends and develop strategies for improvement.
• Maintain knowledge of industry regulations and best practices related to revenue cycle management.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding accounts receivable performance and cash collections.
• Perform other duties as assigned; this is a safety-sensitive position.
