Quality Specialist - Solar

TheQuality Specialist should be an experienced Construction or EngineeringProfessional who is able to review our projects to verify they meet allnecessary requirements before they are turned over to the client. TheQuality Specialist will be responsible for performing scheduled audits andrandom spot inspections of the work in progress, the final/finishedproduct and project quality document control to verify these items havebeen completed in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, plansand specifications, and meets customer requirements and expectations.The Quality Specialist should be thorough and observant with an eye fordetail.

TheQuality Specialist must fully understand the requirements for the product(project), and/or be willing to perform self-exploration of projectdocuments, codes, standards and other research to learn therequirements, and have a sense of responsibility towards our reputationin the industry. The primary goal of the Quality Specialist is to verify the products being provided to our clients meet the highest standards.

• Review and be knowledgeable in the specifications for products or processes.
• Promote adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations, advise Quality Manager if not met.
• Performproject audits to verify project processes and procedures, qualitystandards, and quality documentation is being met and properlycompleted.
• Communicate with the field team any qualitydeficiencies, work with team to find solutions, and verify remedies arecompleted in a timely manner and to the project specifications.
• Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis.
• Submit detailed reports to Quality Manger.
• Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new, efficient procedures.

Requirements

• Proven field experience and thorough understanding of construction quality
• Reliable, responsible and works well independently
• A keen eye for detail and a quality product
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to conduct audits and meetings
• Ability to create, complete and provide feedback on audit forms and processes
• Willingness to travel up to 75%
• Strong ability to learn and adapter to new processes and procedures
• Proficient in MS Office
• An understanding of quality control procedures, codes (NEC, ASTM) and relevant legal standard
