The Alexa Routines team is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer in our mission to reinvent Alexa Routines with the latest LLMs to bring GenAI-powered capabilities to Routines. In this role, you will be testing solutions and experiences built with Large Language Models (LLMs) and other generative technologies.
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Be responsible for manual and automated testing of features across various platforms including web and mobile.
Own the planning, development and execution of test plans and test cases.
Review user interfaces for conformity and functionality.
Help develop, improve, and employ testing strategies and techniques.
Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution.
Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process.
Work with Software Development Engineers (SDE) to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented, and also with product managers to understand the customer experience - while building mechanisms to improve the software quality.
Be leading and responsible for key feature?s quality.

Alexa Routines allows customers to configure automations of the form ?if a specific event (trigger) happens, then execute one or more actions?. Alexa Routines Experience is our customer facing manifestation and is accessible in the Routines GUI in the Alexa Mobile App. We are in an early phase of a strategic revamp to offer Routines via voice by leveraging LLMs.
Basic Qualifications
4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
Experience in automation testing
Experience in manual testing
Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality
