Quality Assurance API Engineer

You will design and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for APIs and software applications. You will be expected to be self-motivated, work hard and set / reach goals. To accomplish this, you will work with a dynamic and supportive team. To be successful, you will need a curious mind, a keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring the high qualify of software applications and APIs through vigorous testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases for APIs and software applications.
• Identify, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies.
• Collaborate closely with the software development team to ensure design quality and functionality.
• Perform various types of testing: functional, regression, load, end-to-end, and security.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce repetitive manual testing.
• Participate in sprint planning, providing input on required testing tasks, process improvements, and dependencies.
• Monitor debugging process results and deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience in a QA role with a focus on API testing is a must
• Proficiency with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Having experience with automation scripting would be highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with integration tools and platforms like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Workato, or equivalent is desired.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Physical and Other Requirements

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. • Work Model: The employee in this position will work either a fully Onsite or Hybrid work model. All employees, regardless of location, may be required to travel to the Salt Lake City office for mandatory company meetings, events, or related occasions.
• Utah-based employees: Hybrid work schedule available after initial training period in our Salt Lake City, Utah officedepartment and job requirements will determine eligibility.
