In support of our growth as an exciting and emerging technology leader in IoT Solutions, Mesh Systems seeks to hire a QA Lead Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a member of our cohesive IoT solutions team working in a modern agile environment to help ensure the reliability and performance of our advanced IoT solutions. By spearheading our quality assurance initiatives, the QA Lead Engineer will play a pivotal role in optimizing the integration and functionality of our diverse IoT devices and systems. This position will directly contribute to our mission of delivering seamless and robust IoT solutions to our clients, enhancing user satisfaction, and reinforcing our commitment to quality. Through rigorous testing protocols and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues, the QA Lead Engineer will ensure that our IoT technologies not only meet but exceed the stringent demands of modern connected environments.

This is a hybrid position with both work from home/in-office work based out of our headquarters in Indianapolis, IN (specifically Carmel) reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the quality assurance efforts within an important customer program, ensuring that all deliverables meet high-quality standards
• Design and develop comprehensive test cases, suites, and plans to validate system functionality and non-functional requirements
• Execute manual test cases thoroughly, track results, and work closely with developers to resolve defects efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure testing strategies are aligned with project goals
• Utilize Azure DevOps to manage test documentation, including tracking test progress and reporting on the quality of system releases
• Perform detailed bug reporting, including root cause analysis, and track defect resolution using Azure DevOps
• Identify opportunities for test automation and support the transition from manual to automated testing as the project evolves
• Continuously review and improve testing processes to enhance overall system quality and efficiency
• Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of quality within the Engineering team

Requirements

• Proven experience in creating detailed, well-structured test plans, test cases, and test suites
• Proficiency in manual testing, with an ability to transition to automated testing frameworks
• Familiarity with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, including test case execution and defect tracking
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to investigate defects and determine root causes
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
• A thorough understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, including regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing
• Knowledge of scripting or automation tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, XUnit)

Other Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field
• 5-8 years of experience in the quality assurance field
• Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
• Experience with any IoT-related technologies isa major plus!
• Enthusiasm and energy to drive continuous quality improvement
• Must be willing to travel
