Unimacts is searching for a Purchasing Assistant who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to support our procurement operations. This role is integral to ensuring smooth day-to-day purchasing activities and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll play a vital role in the renewable energy sector, contributing to our mission of driving global sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
• Maintain and update accurate supplier and inventory records.
• Track deliveries and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders or shipments.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and pricing.
• Research and evaluate potential suppliers to expand our vendor base.
• Provide administrative support to the procurement team, including data entry and reporting.
• Collaborate with inventory control teams to ensure timely stock replenishment.
• Monitor market trends to assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience.
• Prior experience in a purchasing or administrative role (12 years is a plus).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for supplier interactions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling and reporting.
• Interest or experience in renewable energy or manufacturing is an added advantage.
