Provisioning Technician (Intern)

A Provisioning Technician ? Level 1 is an entry level position requiring minimum 1 years' experience with Windows and Apple hardware and software. This position is responsible for preparing Microsoft Windows and Mac OSX workstations and laptops for deployment to GXA clients. This is documented process that will require a successful candidate follow instructions, manage work requests and install devices onsite.

Responsibilities

• Set up hardware and install and configure software and drivers
• Prepare technological equipment
• Perform regular upgrades to ensure systems remain updated
• Perform general maintenancetasks, troubleshoots and repairs computer systems. This would includeinstalling, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading hardware andequipment while ensuring optimal workstation performance.
• Preparing new systems fordeployment and coordinating installation with the end user. Updatingappropriate inventory systems to reflect the current system status.
• Respond to assigned work orders and maintain accurate and timely documentation of progress in work order database. Promote creation of knowledge base e

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components
• Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
• Very good communication abilities
• Exceptional organizing and time-management skills
• Relevant certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+) will be an advantage
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, engineering or relevant field
• Excellent customer serviceskills
• Possess the ability tounderstand and follow instructions
