Production Supervisor

As an Extrusion Supervisor, you will oversee the extrusion process, ensuring high-quality production standards and effective team management. Reporting to the Production Manager, your role involves utilizing core skills in mechanical knowledge and plastics extrusion to optimize manufacturing operations. Your premium skills in quality inspection and programmable logic controllers will be essential in maintaining product integrity. Duties

• Supervise Extrusion Team producing plastic sheet materials for the graphics and building industries
• Applies knowledge of quality control, production processes, machine equipment operations and methods to ensure extrusion operations are conducted safely and efficiently
• Oversees individual and team training, operator maintenance, extrusion production, compound and material handling, product packaging equipment, forklift and lifting device operations
• Responsible for quality, safety, training and production
• Supports management concerns
• Responsible for cleanliness of the plant and the outside scrap area

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics injection molding and extrusion
• Proficient in quality inspection and ensuring adherence to quality control standards
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and CNC machinery.
• Experience with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic math skills
• Background in lean manufacturing and materials handling
• Ability to operate forklifts and press brake machines safely

High School or equivalent
