Job Summary

Leads, monitors and coordinates technical support of assigned work area, which includes assisting others with production problems, providing work instruction, training and communicating effectively with team to ensure quality parts are being produced.

Location : Monticello, MN

Job Level : Hourly

Responsibilities

Works closely with Production Supervisor and Trainer to ensure production needs are met.

Responsible for setting-up and running machines.

Responsible for supporting production output.

Supports Continuous Improvement efforts.

Monitors equipment for preventative maintenance.

Work with Engineering to develop fixtures and select tooling required to manufacture parts.

Work with Engineering to prove out CNC programs for machine tools.

Provide technical assistance to Engineering to improve process robustness, cycle times, throughput, ergonomic and safety elements as assigned.

Knowledge

Knowledge of Advanced CNC machine principles.

Experience & Skills

5 years of machining and/or manufacturing experience, preferred.

Experience with reading blueprints, Engineering drawings and specifications.

Has a strong mechanical aptitude and Attention to detail.

Ability to communicate information clearly and effectively to co-workers.

Ability to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships.

Is a self-starter and has the drive to take on responsibilities and challenges.

Ability to meet deadlines.

Good communication skills to interact with other departments and outside firms.

Education

High School (High school diploma) education or GED completion, required

Working Conditions

Frequently able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Constant exposure to indoor manufacturing environment.

Frequently reach with hands and arms.

Constant use hands/fingers to grasp, pinch, pull, feel or handle and manipulate parts and tools.

Frequent repetitive motion.

Constantly required PPE including, but not limited to eye protection, safety toes shoes & hearing protection.

Definitions: Constant (6-8 hrs./shift) Frequent: (2-5 hrs./shift) Occasional: (Up to 2 hrs./shift)

Starting Rate: $24.00/hour
