Principal ML Engineer

At AminoChain, we're developing a protocol infrastructure for healthcare applications. By connecting hospitals, biobanks, and bio-pharma companies, we unlock the full potential of donated biological samples. Our mission is to build trust and enable patient-centered outcomes in science and healthcare.

We are in search of a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to anchor our founding team. This role involves leading the development of state-of-the-art Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning/AI technologies. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to innovate and shape the future of scientific research and healthcare, creating a world where patients are at the heart of biomedical research outcomes.

• You thrive on solving difficult challenges and exploring uncharted territories of applied AI. You bring expertise and enthusiasm in building original models and applying state-of-the-art methods at the intersection of biomedicine and natural language.
• You have a working knowledge of biomedical language across various domains such as pathology, anatomy, and related ontologies.
• You are able to effectively communicate complex topics to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• You have experience in and/or a passion for high-velocity development. You may have worked in early-stage startups, founded a company, and/or yearn for the fast-paced environment of a rapidly growing company.

• Worked in a 0-1 startup.
• PhD in a relevant field, such as computer science, artificial intelligence, bio ML, or computational linguistics.
• Expertise in handling large-scale data processing and distributed systems, especially in cloud environments.
• Extensive experience with biological data, whether clinical or scientific.
• Publications in high-impact journals or significant contributions to industry standards in NLP.
• Familiarity with blockchain technology or decentralized applications.

• Drive the company's algorithm and model development, setting the technical direction for our AI initiatives.
• Own and manage multiple complex projects from inception to completion, aligning with our strategic objectives and industry benchmarks.
• Develop and implement original models and methods using a multi-source knowledge base and apply SOTA methods to solve complex problems in biomedical data processing.
