Principal Engineer/Architect - Shift Left and TDD Automation

In this role, you will lead engineering efforts across multiple projects, driving the adoption of Shift Left practices to ensure quality is embedded at every stage of the software development lifecycle.

As a Principal Engineer/Architect, you will be at the forefront of establishing and championing best practices in quality assurance, test automation, continuous integration, and deployment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement robust testing strategies that proactively identify and address issues early in the process. Your expertise and leadership will play a pivotal role in fostering a culture of technical excellence, mentoring engineers, and guiding teams in adopting innovative tools and methodologies.

This is a unique opportunity to take on a strategic and leadership role while working with cutting-edge technologies. You will be instrumental in shaping our software delivery processes, mentoring junior and mid-level engineers, and driving organizational excellence in software development.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Principal Engineer, Architect, or Senior Technical Lead in software development, with a strong emphasis on the Shift Left testing approach.
• Proven expertise in software engineering technologies and methodologies , including Agile development practices and test-driven development (TDD).
• Deep knowledge of automated testing frameworks , continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines , and their integration into scalable development workflows.
• Strong familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their application in modern software engineering practices.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide engineers at all levels , fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, technical growth, and excellence.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing vulnerabilities in development and testing processes.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse, cross-functional teams.
• Passionate advocate for quality assurance , engineering best practices , and continuous improvement in software delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor engineering teams in implementing Shift Left testing strategies to ensure software quality is prioritized from the earliest stages of development.
• Design and implement advanced automated testing solutions to enable rapid feedback loops and early detection of issues within the development lifecycle.
• Champion continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) practices to enhance the reliability, speed, and efficiency of software delivery.
• Analyze and optimize testing and quality assurance processes , identifying and eliminating inefficiencies to improve overall productivity and software quality.
• Conduct training and knowledge-sharing sessions to empower team members with best practices in testing, automation, and quality assurance.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders, providing clear progress updates, addressing challenges, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
• Drive a strong focus on quality, performance, and security throughout the software development process.
• Seeking a Principal Engineer or Architect with substantial expertise in Quality Assurance (QA) , test automation , and Shift Left practices .
