Opportunity: Our client is looking for a Principal Electrical Engineer to development firmware, design circuit boards, and debug products from concept to production.

Requirements: You have 12+ years of experience designing analog/digital circuit boards and developing firmware for lower power sensor systems.

Requirements

Core responsibilities

Utilize Altium and Concord Pro to design rapid-turn circuit boards.
Develop firmware utilizing C for PIC microcontrollers, with possibilities for ARM-based and FPGA development.
Conduct evaluations of peers' circuits and code, offering productive technical insights.
Recognize technical challenges, suggest remedies, and oversee necessary actions to effectively address these issues.
Formulate test plans for hardware assessment during prototype deployment, with potential involvement in transitioning prototypes to manufacturing.

Required

B.S. in Electrical Engineering
12+ years of experience designing analog / digital circuit design and firmware development for low power sensors
Experience with C programming for microcontrollers
Experience with Altium
Experience with system design and architecture

Ideal candidate

M.S. in Electrical Engineering
Testing experience with MIL-STD
Experience working in a machine shop or electromechanical skills
DFM experience
Experience with ARM and PIC
Experience with environmental sensors (in-situ sensing)
Understanding of Physics
