Beltway Companies, the largest commercial truck dealership in Maryland, is excited to announce an entry-level opportunity for Diesel Technicians in Baltimore, MD. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our clients, employees, and communities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding and foundation in diesel engine diagnostics, maintenance, and repair.

As an entry-level Diesel Technician, you'll have the chance to learn and grow while performing a range of tasks, including:

• Inspection and lubrication of diesel engines.
• Checking cab, frame, front axle, steering gear, and springs.
• Brake system maintenance and repairs.
• Clutch, transmission, and differential servicing.
• Engine tune-ups, electrical inspections, and testing.
• Trailer repairs and diagnostics.
• Compiling complete parts lists.
• Repairing damaged areas to industry standards.
• Preparing surfaces for refinishing and color-matching paint.

Requirements

• 2 or fewer years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field; more experience is a plus.
• CDL-B Recommended.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Basic knowledge of diesel engine systems and repair techniques.
• Ability to work with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current range would be $18 to $25 per hour
