Plant Electrician

Manufacturing Plant Electrician - NO RELOCATION

Location: Charleston, SC

Schedule: DuPont rotating shifts (12-hour rotating days and nights, working approximately half the days of the year).

Position Purpose:

The Manufacturing Plant Electrician ensures optimal equipment reliability and performance while adhering to electrical and electronic industry standards. This role focuses on maintaining a safe workplace and supporting production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance to improve safety, efficiency, and production output.
• Inspect, service, and repair motor control systems (low and medium voltage).
• Conduct preventative care and diagnostics on motor drive systems.
• Use PLC interfaces to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Identify and address electrical faults to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology, military electronics training, or a high school diploma with 3+ years of electronic maintenance and repair experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Expertise in NFPA 70E/NEC safety standards and electrical codes.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years in an industrial setting, with experience in automation, instrumentation calibration, and equipment repair.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial control systems, as well as mechanical systems such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
