Dutton Law Group is seeking experienced Paralegals to support attorney through litigation of its insurance defense cases. Candidates must possess one of the following: (1) Designation as a Florida Registered Paralegal (FRP); (2) Certification as a NALA Certified Paralegal (CP); or, (3) Degree in Paralegal Studies from a U.S. accredited school. All candidates must have at least three years of recent experience working for an insurance defense firm. This position requires a driven and organized individual that is able to excel in a fast-paced environment. Duties: Respond to Discovery Requests, to include requests for production, requests for admissions, and interrogatories; prepare defense discovery requests; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses from opposing counsel. Prepare various types of motions, pleadings, exhibits, and correspondence. Processing of pleadings, motions and correspondence (e-service and physical) and use of the Florida e-filing portal. Prepare materials in support of pleadings, motions and depositions; to include legal research (prior use of Westlaw preferred). Accomplishes law firm mission by completing other duties as needed. Capture, enter and bill time in accordance with client guidelines and comply with the firm?s monthly minimum billing requirement. Skills/Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and/or other time and document management software is required Experienced with E-Filing, time entry, billing, calendaring and all other essential paralegal skills Must have organizational skills and be detail oriented Must have time management and planning skills Must have verbal and written communication skills Must have strong computer proficiency Must be dependable Able to keep confidential case and client matters Computer Skills: Working knowledge of Case Management Software. Working knowledge of TimeMatters software a plus. Working knowledge of Billable Time Entry Software. Working knowledge of Juris Software a plus. Working knowledge of Westlaw. NO RECRUITERS, PLEASE.
