Physical Therapy Assistant

The home health therapist will be responsible for providing high quality and coordinated care to patients in their homes and communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in home health care, an understanding of state and federal regulations, and a passion for helping patients live their best lives.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the assessment and treatment of patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement therapeutic exercises and activities as prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor and document patients' progress in response to treatment.
• Prepare treatment areas, equipment, and supplies for patient care.
• Instruct and educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and assistive devices.
• Communicate with the Physical Therapist and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of patient care in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications :

• Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Active and unrestricted state license as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Proven experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, preferably in a home healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques, equipment, and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
