How you'll make an impact:
Exercise your knowledge of payroll principles and experience to ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll in compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations
Process payroll transactions including earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes, including the calculation of LOA payments: FMLA, short-long term disability, paid parental leave, and other company sponsored leave policies
Review and validate hours worked, paid time off, and conduct routine payroll audits to ensure accuracy prior to payroll submission
Validate, generate, and process additional pay data import files (i.e. bonus, gifts, imputed income, etc) ensuring data integrity and adherence to internal processing controls
Research to troubleshoot and respond to payroll related inquiries managed through company Service Now platform, including verification of employment (VOE) or verification of income (VOI) requests
Process historical adjustments and calculations of retro-active pay utilizing HR reporting, payroll and time & attendance system(s), and other supporting records to execute adjustments.
Timely processing of termination and/or severance payments in accordance with state laws
Proficient understanding and interpretation of garnishment orders, which include child support, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions, while effectively communicating with employees and timely set up of deductions and payments to the appropriate agencies
Collaborate with and provide support and/or knowledge transfer across various tasks ensuring seamless workflow.
This includes, but not limited to peer audit review of payroll transactions, termination process, LOA?s, garnishments, compliance, policies, and procedures.
Collaborate and participate in payroll optimization initiatives that will drive continuous improvement
Provide support and/or coverage as needed to ensure continuity of operations during the absence of other team members, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team success.

What you'll need (required):
Bachelor's degree and 2 years multi-state payroll processing related experience
Experience processing LOA and garnishments
What else we look for (preferred):
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred
Experience with ServiceNow or other ticketing systems
Proficient knowledge of payroll principles and experience to ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll in compliance with company policies, labor laws, and tax regulations
Proficient understanding of wage and hour and tax laws and processing garnishments and tax levies
Proficient problem-solving skills, with ability to perform Gross Up Calculations / percentages
Proficient knowledge and understanding of payroll processing procedures and time attendance system, preferably UKG Pro and KRONOS Workforce Central and/or Workforce Management
Ability to effectively execute processes for high volume payrolls and multiple tasks within condensed timeframes.
Proficient ability to prioritize workload, leveraging strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and payroll related systems
Proficient written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills, including conveying sensitive information
Ability to interact professionally with many organizational levels
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Must be able to work effectively within a team, or inter-departmental team(s) environment

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $55,000 to $78,000 (highly experienced).
