The Payroll and HR Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring smooth payroll processing and providing HR support for employee orientation, onboarding, and other HR functions. This role is essential in maintaining KCG's commitment to efficient and accurate payroll administration, as well as fostering a welcoming and organized onboarding experience for new employees.

Requirements

  • Payroll Processing:
    • Administer end-to-end payroll processing for all KCG employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
    • Handle payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and adjustments promptly.
    • Prepare and submit payroll reports, including tax filings, as required by federal and state regulations.
    • Collaborate with Finance to ensure accurate reporting of payroll expenses.
  • Employee Onboarding & Orientation:
    • Organize and conduct new employee orientation, covering company policies, benefits, and payroll procedures.
    • Coordinate new hire paperwork, including I-9 documentation, benefits enrollment, and policy acknowledgments.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires during the onboarding period, ensuring a seamless integration into the company.
  • HR Administration & Support:
    • Manage employee files and records in compliance with legal requirements and company policy.
    • Assist with benefits administration, employee data updates, and any HR-related documentation.
    • Support employee relations by addressing payroll and basic HR inquiries, escalating issues as necessary.
    • Aid in updating and maintaining HR systems with accurate employee information.
    • Participate in HR initiatives and projects as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Education:
      • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    • Experience:
      • 2+ years of payroll processing experience, with proficiency in payroll software and timekeeping systems.
      • Familiarity with HR functions, including onboarding, employee orientation, and basic employee relations.
      • Experience with HRIS systems and payroll software required. Paylocity experience preferred.
    • Skills & Competencies:
      • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
      • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
      • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
      • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
      • Customer service-oriented with a positive approach to employee support.

      Key Performance Metrics:

      • Accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing.
      • Efficiency in onboarding process and completion of orientation for new hires.
      • Responsiveness to employee inquiries related to payroll and HR functions.
