Dinsmore is seeking Patent Agents and Technical Specialists to join our rapidly growing and complex intellectual property practice. Opportunities are generally available at any of our office locations; remote work option is also available. Ideal candidates will possess the following: Technical Background: We are looking for candidates with degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science, as well as relevant technical industry experience. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in computer software, machine learning, and wireless telecommunications experience. Experience and skillset: 3+ years of active experience with preparing and prosecuting patent applications. Writing samples of patent applications demonstrating ability to describe and depict complex inventions clearly, completely, and with strong legal support for patentability during prosecution Writing samples of patent prosecution demonstrating ability to write persuasively, concisely, and to obtain allowances with clean prosecution records Understanding of current issues in patent law (e.g., subject matter eligibility) and articulable strategies for proactively dealing with such issues Proven ability to timely meet client needs and budgets and internal production targets Proactive communicator; self-starter; active manager of one?s own career. Desire to work in a collegial atmosphere with an emphasis on training and significant client contact 3+ years of active experience with preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
