Patent Agent/Patent Attorney (Chemistry/Biochemistry)

Blank Rome LLP has an opening for a Patent Agent or Patent Attorney with at least 2?4 years of experience to support the Firm?s patent prosecution practice to assist the Firm?s clients in protecting their technology. Candidates can be based out of our New York, Houston, Philadelphia or Washington, D.C., offices. Successful candidates will possess a Master?s Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field. The Patent Agent or Patent Attorney will draft and prosecute applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office as well as support due diligence. Candidates must be registered to practice in front of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, be Patent Bar eligible, and if appropriate, licensed to practice law in their respective state. Candidates must have strong time management skills and be able to meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines with assignments coming from multiple partners and clients. Candidates must have strong attention to detail, writing skills, and analytical skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Please note that this is a non-partner track position.
