Job Description

Role: Oracle Database Administrator

Location: Remote

Experience: 5 to 10 years

Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Oracle database systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and related software.
Monitor database performance and implement performance tuning strategies to improve efficiency.
Conduct regular backups, restore data, and implement disaster recovery plans to protect against data loss.
Implement security measures to safeguard databases from unauthorized access and potential threats.
Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and resolve database-related issues.
Create and maintain documentation related to database configurations, procedures, and policies.
Stay updated with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture, SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning.
Experience with database backup and recovery procedures, including RMAN.
Knowledge of Oracle security features and best practices for data protection.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.
