Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations: Be physically present on the production floor, collaborating with operators and technicians to monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the manufacturing process., ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
  • Process Optimization: Work directly with technicians and engineers to diagnose and resolve process issues, Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize output while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Process Development Collaboration: Collaborate with process development teams to integrate perovskite materials into existing solar panel manufacturing processes and scale up production for market-ready solutions.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Resolve operational issues, diagnose production problems, and oversee regular maintenance of manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maintain smooth operations.
  • Quality Control: Implement a vigilant approach to monitor and ensure the consistent quality of perovskite-based modules, conducting tests, measurements, and data analysis to confirm product performance, durability and address any deviations from established quality standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze production data to evaluate performance metrics, track KPIs, and prepare regular reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Supply Chain & Inventory Management: Coordinate with supply chain for raw materials, ensuring the timely availability of components like precursors for perovskites, glass substrates, etc. and optimize inventory management to prevent bottlenecks.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations during all production activities, promoting a culture of safety and sustainability.
  • Training & Development: Train and mentor production staff on best practices, new technologies, and safety protocols related to solar cells production.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in operations engineering or manufacturing within high technology industry, perovskite technology is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including material deposition techniques, quality assurance, and system optimization, able to stand up for extended periods of time and able to run machines.
  • Familiarity with perovskite solar cells, their fabrication techniques, and their integration into mass production processes is a plus.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing systems and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., MS Excel, Word, Minitab) to process production data and generate reports.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams including PDev, supply chain, and quality control.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and an interest in advancing renewable energy technologies is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with thin film technologies and perovskite solar cells.
  • Familiarity with solar industry certifications (e.g., IEC standards).
  • Project management experience or certification.
  • Quality Standards knowledge. (ISO standards)
  • Knowledge of advanced manufacturing techniques like PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition), laser scribing, and solution processing.
