The Operations Co-Op will be responsible for learning the basic functions of multiple departments across the distribution center. The process for facilitating this will be a rotational schedule in which the Co-Op will move from one area to another in a structured manner. The Co-Op will work with Supervisors and Managers in the areas they are assigned to understand the basics of the department.

At the completion of the rotational schedule, the Co-Op will have a high level understanding of the flow of product through the facility from Inbound, through the processing engines, to Outbound and the activities necessary to optimize that flow.

• Observe the daily workload/workflow foraspecific functional area and recommend sound business adjustments to ensurethefunctional area isoperatingatmostefficient model.
• Understandall functional area performance metrics (safety, accuracy, efficiency,service,andcost) for all channels of business.
• Recommend methods for improvingutilizationof personnel,material,and equipment.
• Supportthe day-to-day operations ofthefunctional areaandmonitorefficiency.
• Understand all production levers thatimpactthefunctionalareaproductivity rates whilemaintaininghigh levelsof service,qualityand morale.
• Support implementation of SOP's (standard operating procedures)and daily work guidelines and processes thatoptimizeresourceutilization(people, equipment, technology).
• Promote teamwork within your functional area.Work closely with distribution staff and understand their roles and contribute to team goals.
• Create andparticipatein an operational project that supports distributionobjectives.

Must have:

• In pursuit ofBachelor's degreein Supply Chain Management, Logistics,Businessor related field
• Previousexperience in a leadership role
• Ability to stand and work for long periods of time and repetitively lift up to fifty pounds

Preferred skills and experience:

• Previousexperience in a warehouse environment
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced andteam orientedenvironment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new tasks and challenges.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
